The Green River Health Dept. Medical Reserve Corps held their Fifth Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, April 28, 2011. Featured speaker was Mr. Larry Koerber, Emergency Manager for Henderson, KY. Congratulations to Mr. Leonard Ray Austin, Medical Volunteer of the Year and Ms. Jennifer W. Byerly, the Non-Medical Volunteer of the Year.
The mission of the GRD MRC is to provide medical and non-medical support during emergencies, disasters and public health initiative throughout the year. Our purpose is to promote the Health, Safety, Wellness and preparedness of the Green River District and its citizens. Medically licensed and non-licensed volunteers needed.
