Owensboro held its first arts and music festival on Saturday, August 13th next door to Studio Slant downtown.
The event featured works from 30 different artists from around the region, including Owensboro's own Aaron Kizer who's speed painting pieces are becoming well known around the region.
Musical artists include Heath Eric and Molly G, Jeff Wildman Hardesty, The Blueprints, and Shawn Brashear. There was also a live performance art by Meagan Williams, a painter and DJ Prof G.
There was also be a children's tent where kids can design their own creations and have caricatures painted.
Local restaurants Colby's, Miller House and Famous Bistro will be catering.
"It gains awareness for the art gallery that we do have in town and because this has been named the east bridge art district. So we're trying everyone that's involved downtown is trying to make this the art district," said festival organizer Katherine Taylor.
